Virginia “Ginger” Carmack, 91, of Brownwood passed away on June 21, 2018 in Granbury Texas.

Virginia was born in Brownwood Texas to Everett Trowbridge and Alta “Josie” Minica Trowbridge and married Don W.M. Carmack on December 31, 1952 in Portland Texas. She worked as a nurse for 21 years at Brownwood Regional Medical Center, Cross Country Healthcare Center, and South Park Development Center.

Virginia is survived by her children; Don Everett Carmack, of Bangs, Ricky Lynn Carmack and his wife Wanda Jo Carmack of Granbury, Karen Denise Smith, and her husband Gary Duane Smith of Granbury, Michael Shawn Carmack of Granbury, Brent Stacy Carmack of Brownwood, Kent Tracy Carmack of Granbury and Linda Jo Staley of Angleton; her sister Rosa Lee Hoffman of Brownwood, Texas and her brother Tommy Brisco of Tolar. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Don W. M. Carmack in April of 1974, her parents, her brother Eugene “Red” Trowbridge, her brother Donald Trowbridge, her brother Maurice Trowbridge, her sister Mildred Shields, her step-mother Susan Trowbridge, and her step-father Harry Stewart.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25th at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
