The Victory Life Academy Warriors gained their first ever playoff victory in the short history of the football program, defeating the San Antonio Castle Hills Eagles 52 to 7 at Warrior Stadium Friday night. The game ended with 9:22 left in the third quarter due to the 45 point mercy rule.
Spread back Tyler McDaniel rushed for 214 yards and two touchdowns. He also completed 13 of 19 passes for 160 yards and six touchdowns. Cullen Ruth caught a team high six receptions for 78 yards and four touchdowns. The Warriors compiled 372 yards of total offense while holding the Eagles to only 160 total yards.
With the victory the Warriors are TAPPS Division 2 Area Champions. Victory Life Academy will face Fredricksburg Heritage next Friday. Fredricksburg defeated Alvin Living Stones 56 to 7 to advance.
