A celebration of life will be held for Victor L. Kysor, 62, of Santa Anna from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at 100 North Second St. in front of Santa Anna Grocery Store. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Guys Mill United Evangelical Free Church in Guys Mill, Pa. Robert W. Waid Funeral Home of Meadville is in charge of arrangements.
He died unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, while visiting family in Meadville, Pa.
He was born Feb. 17, 1950, in Corry, Pa., to Darrell and Louise Caglio Kysor. He was raised in the Canadohta Lake area.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973. After moving to Texas he worked in the grocery industry, owned and operated Vic’s Grocery in Florence, and then Santa Anna Grocery.
Survivors include his mother, Louise Kysor of Meadville, Pa.; two daughters, Jenni Strader and husband Bob of Kingwood, Texas; Marsha Sray and husband David of Round Rock; a son, Victor Kysor Jr. and fiancée Audra Hubbard of Santa Anna; four brothers, Darrell Kysor and wife Linda of Corry, Pa., Daniel Kysor and wife Kate of Port Allegany, Pa., David Kysor of Saegertown, Pa., and Darwin Kysor and wife Pat of Huntingdon, Pa.; three sisters, Colleen Conaway and husband John of Worthington, Pa., Marsha Byham and husband Bill of Guys Mills, Pa., and Lorna Gee and husband Fred of Wattsburg, Pa.; many grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Kysor Sr.
