VFW Post 3278 of Brownwood honored citizens for their service to the community on Thursday night. Each recipient was chosen by their supervisors for going above and beyond to serve the community while they performed their job requirements.

Voice of Democracy Essay Award Winner: Cheyenne Gordon – 1st Place
Voice of Democracy Essay Award Winner: Christopher Freeland – 2nd Place
Voice of Democracy Essay Award Winner: Allison Bramblett – 3rd Place
2014 Voice of Democracy Essay District and State Champion Sierra Gordon was also presented awards for participating in the 2014 National Contest.
