While there is currently no identified cause or cure for Autism, persons with Autism can be helped to reach their greatest potential. Accurate, early diagnosis and the resulting education and intervention are vital to the highest quality of life for these individuals. The support group is designed to give support, information and education to families with children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Autism is the third most common developmental disability, affecting 1.5 million individuals nationwide. Autism affects not only the diagnosed individual but the entire family. The Autism Support Group meets monthly at Center for Life Resources, 408 Mulberry Street, Brownwood, Texas at 5:30 PM. For information regarding the group, date and time of the next meeting, contact Randy Christian 325-998-4073.
