Brownwood News – Veterans were honored Monday at the Brownwood Veterans Day Service held at VFW Post 3278.  The ceremony was moved indoors due to cold weather.  All branches of the military had representation.

Chaplin Cal Gray of American Legion post 196 led the opening and closing prayer.  James Masters, Commander, VFW Post 3278, led the Pledge of Allegiance and introduced Keynote Speaker, Lieutenant Colonel Jamie Creek.  LTC Creek (shown in photo) shared stories of his service during a recent deployment in Kandahar Afghanistan.

Members of the Early Elementary Choir, directed by Loree Rosenquist, sang patriotic music including “God Bless the U.S.A.” and “The Armed Forces Medley”.  The choir received a rousing round of applause and standing ovation for their performance.
