Graveside Services for Vernon Chandler, age 92, of Bangs will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Bangs Cemetery with Todd King officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Vernon passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Oak Ridge Manor. He was born on November 9, 1924, to Arnold and Betty Marie Chandler in Morrilton, Arkansas. He married Mary Mayo Chandler on January 8, 1962, in Memphis, TN.
Vernon is survived by his children, Betty Stewart of Bangs, Arnold Chandler and wife, Lori of Loganville, GA, Margaret Carter and husband Oscar of Bangs, Ron Baldwin and wife Vickie of Bangs; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Pruitt of Brinkley, AR; sisters, Clara Burch of Hamburg, AR and Dorothy Jones of Pearl, MS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Chandler; a son, Robert Chandler; and two sisters, Eunice Curtis and Eula Beth McCoy.
