Written by Amanda Coers – Sherry Clark with the Brown County Child Welfare Board addressed the Commissioners’ Court on Monday, March 6th, to recommend approving Venida Farr as an addition to the board. The request was unanimously approved by the court.
Farr, a Brown County resident, has expressed an on-going desire to assist children, according to a release from Sherry Clark.
Farr has served as an education diagnostician, special education teacher, school administrator, counselor, and has worked for Education Service Center Region 12 in Waco. She is now retired. Farr has also served on the Hale County Child Welfare Board.
The addition of Farr completes the board, with members including Terry Blagg, Linda Burns, Toni Damron, Melissa Mullins, Rick Phelps, Jacquelin Rider, Tera Rudloff, and Lynne Teston.
