Emergency responders were called to the area of Brooks Avenue at Sherman Drive at 6:45 PM Tuesday to the report of a vehicle striking a tree.
A Ford Expedition apparently struck a utility pole, and then ran through a chain link fence, striking a tree along the back fence of a residence. The vehicle came to rest on top of the tree after the accident.
The female driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation, the extent of her injuries were not reported at the scene. She appeared to be conscious and alert at the time of the accident.No information was available at the scene regarding the cause of the accident.
The Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
