Vada Doris McClanahan left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on November 10, 2014 at the age of 93.
She was born Vada Doris Mauldin on August 19, 1921 t William Alton and Clifton Waldon Muldin in Brown County.
Doris lived in San Diego, California, then moved to Washington DC where she worked for World Wildlife Fund for 20 years. When she moved to Brownwood, she volunteered at the Brownwood Hospital for many years. She is a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her nephew David Mauldin and nieces and best friend Leta Petzoll.
Doris was preceded in death by her father, mother, brothers Alton and Luther and wife, Janice and her precious daughter Jeannie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13 from 6 to 7 PM at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
The family thanks Solaris and CARE for their wonderful care and love to Doris. She was a great prayer warrior and everyone felt her love for her Savior.
