United Blood Services will be holding several blood drives over the next 30 days to give area residents a chance to donate.
There is always a need for blood and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in the community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most people will need donated blood sometime in their lives.
