Today Underwood’s Cafeteria in Brownwood held a fundraiser for Brown County United Way. It was a Wednesday and most of the time Underwood’s is closed on this day of the week, but not today. The owners, employees and several local business men and women donated their time to serve the world famous food for charity. All proceeds and tips would benefit the United Way of Brown County. It was a great time for all to visit, enjoy great food and give to a worthy cause.
An email sent to United Way volunteers from Karen Lynch, Executive Director of the Brown County United Way stated, “I am pleased to tell you all that our total this year surpassed last year – we made $5268.67!!!!!”.
