The Texas Department of Transportation is partnering with Brownwood’s Walmart Supercenter to promote motoring safety on Friday, June 24 at the Walmart store at 401 W. Commerce St.
From 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. TxDOT staff will provide free information and exhibits to educate motorists of all ages about the dangers of distracted driving and driving under the influence, the correct usage of seat belts and child restraint systems, and other driving-safety related topics. They invite the community to join them for this event.Other exhibitors scheduled to attend include the KidSafe and Mature Driver programs from Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Hillcrest in Waco, the Brownwood Police Department, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Family Services Center, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department, the Public Health Preparedness office and The ARK Domestic Violence Shelter.
