The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) Brownwood District has named Eric Lykins, P.E. as director of construction.
For the past 14 years, Lykins has worked in TxDOT’s Brownwood District, where he has held the positions of transportation engineer and assistant area engineer. Most recently, he has served as the district’s Brownwood area engineer and will continue to oversee the office until a new area engineer is selected. Prior to his career at TxDOT, he worked for Glovier and Associates Engineering Consultants, Inc. in Dumas.
Lykins received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University in 1994 and became licensed as a professional engineer in 2000.
He and his wife, Stephanie, have two children, Samantha and Wyatt, and reside in Bangs. He is active in his church and community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and fishing.
