Texas Department of Transportation offered an update on the progress of local construction projects underway on roadways in Brownwood and the surrounding area for the next week.
Austin Avenue (FM 2524): Construction on Austin Avenue will continue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in the work zone. Drivers should expect some delays and find alternate routes, if possible.
US 67/377 between Blanket and Brown/Comanche County Line: Crews will be working in the westbound lanes of US 67/377 between the Brown/Comanche County line and the community of Blanket. Traffic will be shifted down to one lane in the westbound lanes.Officials state, “While TxDOT strives to inform the public about planned roadway restrictions and activities, circumstances beyond our control may occasionally cause schedule changes. TxDOT urges motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit signs and be alert for construction equipment and workers.”
