A sport utility vehicle landed upside down on Early Blvd Wednesday evening after a two vehicle collision.
Early Police Chief David Mercer reported that a Chevy Avalanche traveling on C.C. Woodson Road ran a red light as it crossed Early Blvd to Old May Road when it struck an SUV in the intersection.
Mercer said that the point of impact was on the driver’s door causing the SUV to flip upside down in the roadway. Two occupants from the SUV were transported to the hospital by Guardian EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
EPD Officer Steven Means investigated the accident and Brownwood PD assisted with traffic control. Brownwood Fire Department and the Early Volunteer Fire Department also responded to assist with the injured and scene safety Mercer said.
