Friday morning emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident on Austin Avenue, at the bottom of the Bill Monroe Overpass near the Family Services Center, which sent two people to the hospital.
At approximately 7:35am, a two-door passenger car collided with a small GMC pickup in the center lanes of Austin Avenue.
The cause of the accident and extent of the injuries incurred were not available at the time of the accident.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and two Guardian EMS units responded to the accident scene, clearing the roadway in time for school traffic.
