One man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Early Blvd and C. C. Woodson Road Friday morning.
Early Police Department, Early Fire Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Guardian EMS were called to the accident which occurred shortly after 11:00 a.m.
According to Early Police Chief David Mercer, a 1999 Peterbuilt semi pulling an empty flatbed trailer was traveling east on Early Blvd when it ran a red light and struck a 2001 Dodge pickup making a left turn from Early Blvd onto C.C. Woodson.
The Peterbuilt was driven by Victor Davis of Telephone, Texas and the dodge pickup by Reagan Burns of Brownwood, Mercer said. Burns was transported by ambulance to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for non- life threatening injuries. Davis, the driver of the Peterbuilt, was issued a citation for disregard red light.
