National Guardsmen, Brownwood Fire Department, and a Trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the aid of three people that were involved in a two car accident.  The wreck occurred in front of the National Guard Armory shortly after 5:00pm Thursday evening.

Both vehicles were heading south on FM 45 when the accident occurred.  According to emergency responders and those involved in the accident, a woman was driving a red Chevy pickup travelling in the inside (left) lane when the maroon Cadillac the guardsmen were in suddenly turned to the left to enter the armory from the outside (right) lane striking the truck.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the emergency room for evaluation.

The Cadillac sustained significant damage to the majority of the driver’s side.  The truck had damage to the front end.

An attempt is made to bend the truck’s front bumper away from tire after the wreck.
