A two-vehicle accident near the Brownwood Coliseum left one woman injured Wednesday morning.
Approximately 8:15 a.m., a woman was traveling south on C. C. Woodson Road in a four-door sedan when she attempted to stop and make a left turn behind the Brownwood Coliseum. A Chevy extended cab pickup that was traveling behind her appeared to have failed to stop and struck the rear of the passenger car.The female driver of the car was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of her injuries, the extent of which were not reported. The driver of the pickup was not reported to have been injured.
The passenger car sustained significant damage to its rear end. Very minimal damage was visible on the pickup.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
