A two vehicle accident in the 100 block of Early Blvd sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries Tuesday shortly after 1:00pm.
As an unknown vehicle slowed to make a turn into Cullen’s Hometown Market, the vehicle directly behind it slowed and was rear ended by a third vehicle. Drivers of two small pickup trucks complained of neck pain and were taken by ambulance to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation and possible treatment according to police officers on scene.
A dark blue Chevy S-10 and a tan Mazda B series pickup were traveling northeast when they collided. The tan pickup’s airbags deployed and it sustained heavy front end damage when it hit the rear of the blue pickup. Damage to the blue pickup was on the passenger side which also impacted a bicycle which was being transported on the back of the blue truck. The back windshield was also broken.
A Brownwood Police officer happened to be in the area when the accident occurred and helped with traffic until the Early Police officer could arrive and investigate. Both officers worked the wreck together in order to get the roadway cleared as quickly as possible.
