Brownwood emergency responders were called to a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning which resulted in one woman being transported to the hospital.
At approximately 8:40 a.m., two vehicles collided in the intersection of North Fisk Street and South Broadway, near the Brown County Courthouse.
According to the parties involved, the Jeep was traveling south on Fisk and the white Kia was traveling east on S. Broadway. The vehicles collided in the intersection, which spun the Jeep around 180°. The impact caused the Kia to travel onto the sidewalk where it then struck the corner of the Heartland Title Company’s building.
The Kia had significant front-end damage and the Jeep had lesser front-end damage.
The driver of the Kia was transported by Guardian EMS to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room for evaluation and treatment of her injuries, the extent of which were not available at the scene of the accident. The occupants of the Jeep included a young couple and their two young children, all of which were reported to be uninjured.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
