Emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street and W. Commerce (the “Traffic T”) which sent one person to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.
According to one of the occupants involved in the crash, the Ford sedan collided with a Ford Escape when its male driver experienced a seizure. The passenger of the sedan stated that she could not reach the brakes; however was able to grab the steering wheel in an effort to try to avoid other vehicles. The car struck the Escape just before the Ford sedan would have entered the busy intersection.
The driver of the sedan also suffered a bloody nose and was taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room for treatment. The passenger had a possible injury to her left hand. The driver of the Escape appeared to be uninjured.
The Ford sedan received front-end damage while the Escape sustained damage to the driver’s side rear corner of the vehicle (pictured above).
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
