Brownwood Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene of a two vehicle accident at Avenue E and 10th Street Wednesday afternoon with no injuries reported.

At approximately 3:10 p.m., emergency responders arrived at the scene to find that two vehicles had collided, possibly due to a yield sign that’s visibility was obstructed by trees.  According to witnesses on scene, the Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling northeast on Avenue E and crossed into the intersection where it was struck by the Chevy Cobalt which was traveling northwest on 10th Street.

The Santa Fe received damage to its front passenger side quarter panel and the Cobalt suffered heavy front end damage.  The Cobalt was towed from the scene.

Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police, and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
