Brownwood emergency responders were called to the intersection of Austin Avenue and Parkway to a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.
According to officials on scene, four occupants of a four-door sedan were transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of their injuries; the extent of which were unknown.
The cause of the accident was unknown; however, a witness on scene stated that the sedan was traveling north on Austin Avenue when it collided with an older model Chevy pickup at the intersection.
The pickup came to a stop in a nearby yard, after hopping over a high cement curb, and its driver was reported to be uninjured and was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage.
