Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Austin and Coggin Avenues Friday morning for a two-vehicle accident.
A Dodge Durango and a Pontiac passenger car collided in the intersection at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Friday.
According to emergency responders on scene, one driver’s reaction to medication was a possible cause of the accident. The driver with the reaction was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. According to emergency responders, two others involved in the accident were not transported.
The Durango received minimal front end damage; however the passenger car received significant damage to the front passenger door, breaking its window as well as the driver’s side window due to the impact of the collision.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
