The Brownwood Police Department and Brown County Sheriff’s Office will hold a memorial service to honor law enforcement personnel who have given their lives in service to their community at 9:00am this Friday.
The service will be a solemn moment and an opportunity for everyone to pay respect to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice of service. A wreath will be presented in honor of the fallen along with a flag ceremony to commemorate National Police Week. Participation in the event will also show the public’s support to the local agencies that will be represented at the service.
Law Enforcement appreciation will also be the program for Friday’s Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon which will be held at the Brownwood Country Club at 11:30am-1:00pm. A presentation of awards by representatives from local law enforcement agencies will be featured.
Each of those departments will announce their Officer of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Investigator of the Year, and other awards for each agency. Other Law Enforcement officials will be recognized, such as District Judge and Attorney, County Judge and Attorney, Justices of the Peace, Constables and other agencies that serve and protect the citizens in Brown County.
The Chamber’s Monthly Luncheon is open to members and guests. Those interested in attending the monthly chamber luncheon can call 325-646-9535.
Please join in recognizing the important role law enforcement play in making our community a safer place to live.
