Brownwood emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon which injured two.

The accident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. when a turquoise Dodge Dakota truck pulled out from the Commerce Plaza, in the 600 block of W. Commerce, and was struck in the driver’s side by a gray Dodge Dakota which was traveling west.

The driver of the turquoise Dakota had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to the hospital for evaluation of his injuries, as was the female passenger in the gray Dakota.  Neither of the injured appeared to have life-threatening injuries, according to responders on scene.

The turquoise pickup was badly damaged on the driver’s side and the front end gray pickup was also damaged.

Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
