Brownwood emergency responders were called to the Vine Street underpass Thursday morning to a 2-vehicle accident.

At approximately 9:12 a.m., a 2005 Infinity was turning left on Vine Street from Avenue A when it collided with a 2000 Plymouth Neon which was traveling south on Vine, from the underpass.

No injuries were reported; however, the front end of the Neon and the left front quarter panel of the Infinity were damaged in the accident.  After the collision, the Neon rolled backward and struck a wall of the underpass according to police.  The front end of the Neon then ignited into flames and firefighters extinguished the fire.

Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
