Brownwood first responders were called to the scene of a two-car accident that resulted in one person being transported to the hospital and another being arrested.

At approximately 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, a four-door Pontiac collided with a Lincoln Town Car on Hwy 377S near the Brown County Fair Barns.

According to law enforcement on scene, the driver of the Pontiac was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.  Details of the warrant were not available at the time of the arrest.

The passenger of the Pontiac was a pregnant female who was transported for evaluation; however, she was not reported to have any life threatening injuries according to first responders on scene.  The driver of the Town Car did not have any reported injuries.

The Pontiac received front-end damage while the Town Car sustained heavy driver’s side damage from the impact.

Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
