A two-vehicle accident on Main Street sent two people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
A Honda Civic was rear-ended by a Chevrolet passenger car at the intersection of Main Street and Adams shortly before 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The female driver of the Cobalt and the male driver of the Honda were transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment by a Guardian EMS ambulance. The extent of their injuries was not released at the time of the accident.
The impact caused front end damage to the Cobalt and knocked the Honda’s rear bumper completely off the vehicle.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
