Brownwood Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the corner of E. Depot Street and Center Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 2:00pm, a Chevrolet Malibu and a Mercury SUV collided in the intersection of Depot and Center Avenue.According to witnesses on scene, the driver of the Mercury was traveling south on Center Avenue when it was struck by the Chevrolet which was traveling east on E. Depot Street. The SUV upon impact was spun around in the roadway according its driver. The SUV suffered passenger side damage and the back passenger side wheel was immobilized by the impact. The Malibu was able to drive from the scene but was also reported to have been heavily damaged, said the driver of the SUV.
No injuries were reported.
Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was reported to have been in the area and was first on scene after the accident occurred. Brownwood Police, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
