The Brownwood campus of Texas State Technical College West Texas marked 20 years in the area on Tuesday, October 25 with special recognitions and re-dedication of their newly remodeled facility with a ribbon cutting.
TSTC remodeled their main campus in Brownwood during the summer and moved back into the new state-of-the-art facility in July of this year. Officials from TSTC, the City of Brownwood, Brownwood and Early Chambers of Commerce, and other dignitaries gathered for the event with a ribbon cutting and tours of their campus.
TSTC Associate Vice President of Enrollment Brian Kight highlighted the school’s journey in Brownwood over the past 20 years with the help of the City of Brownwood and Brownwood Economic Development Corporation. (See video below of Kight’s reading of the history of the TSTC campus).
“What I want to say from TSTC is ‘thank you Brownwood,’” said Kight. “There is huge potential here.”
TSTC Chancellor Mike Reeser commented on the impact of the school in Brownwood and of higher education statewide.
“TSTC is a unique organization,” Reeser said. “Texas is blessed with a wide array of higher education choices. TSTC plays a special role in that array.”
