A graveside funeral service for Truman Dee Ragsdale, age 77, of Zephyr, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2017 in the Zephyr Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:00. Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Truman passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017. He was born on May 10, 1940 in Coleman Texas to Gertie (Calder) and Truman Ragsdale, Sr.
Truman graduated from Zephyr High School in 1960 and lived most of his life in Zephyr. Truman loved living in the Zephyr Community and was always willing to help his community and friends.
Truman was a man among men, who loved his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Erline, his parents, his two sisters, Sara Collier and Thelma Brown and brother Otis Ragsdale.
Truman is survived by his daughters, Debra Stephenson of San Antonio, Cynthia Brown and husband Jeremy of Brownwood, a son, Michael Ragsdale and wife Amanda of Brownwood; three sisters, Dorothy Brown and husband Curtis of Colorado Springs, Grace Bullock of Temple and Mary Meyer and husband Larry of Rogers; seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Truman was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all.
