Funeral Services for Troy Gene “Sonny” Stone will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday 7/7/15 at First Baptist Church, May, Tx with Burial to follow at May Cemetery. Family will receive friends & family at Heartland Funeral Home, Early, Tx from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on Monday 7/6/15.
Troy celebrated freedom by going on to be with His Lord in Heaven on July 4, 2015 at age 75.
Troy served as a Deacon at Oak Street Baptist Church of Graham Tx, in First Baptist Church of Cross Plains, Tx, in First Baptist Church of May, Tx. He loved singing praises to the Lord at church, playing his guitar, fishing & playing golf, spending time with his family.
Troy worked 32 years for Pitcock, Inc. Oil & Gas Company as an Oil Lease Pumper & Ranch Manager in Brown County. He loved his work outdoors because he was truly a cowboy at heart.Troy is survived by his wife Sue, married for 53 years, daughter Becky Wood and husband! Robert of Pflugerville Tx, daughter Donna Harris of Midland Tx, son Dalon Stone of Austin, Tx, Five Grandchildren – Natalie Beeler, Ryan Beeler, Austin Beeler, Payton Wood, & Raelyn Wood, Five Great-Grandchildren & One on the way.
