BrownwoodNews – The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual “Treats for Santa Bake-off” competition at the 10th annual Christmas Under the Stars Festival.
This year’s competition yielded close to 20 entries.
First place and second place was awarded to Judy Helton for her chocolate raspberry cake and her strawberry cake. Third place was awarded to Kristina Clevenger for her snowman decorated cookies.
Area bakers were encouraged to enter the contest to show off their skills in several categories including pies, cakes, bars/brownies, cookies, bread/rolls, and muffins. Scoring for each treat was based on taste, appearance and originality.
