Zepeda was found to have an outstanding warrant from Brown County Justice of the Peace Court, Precinct 1, for Violation of Promise to Appear on Driving While License Invalid. City Marshal Dean Kilburn arrived in the location to assist the officers by transporting Zepeda to jail for his warrants.Marshal Kilburn searched Zepeda and found a bag of marijuana in his pants pocket. After being transported to jail, Zepeda was searched further and a large bag of methamphetamine was found in his underwear. The methamphetamine found was in excess of 10 grams. Albert Zepeda was charged with the outstanding warrants, Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (a first degree felony), Possession of Marijuana (a misdemeanor offense), and another charge of Driving While License Invalid.
