The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern Coleman county, southwestern Brown county, and northern McCulloch county until 9:00 pm.
At 7:59 pm the National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail, and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located 2 miles north of Waldrip or 19 miles south of Santa Anna and moving northeast at 15 mph.
The severe thunderstorm will be near Rockwood by 8:10 pm, Whon by 8:25 pm, Winchell by 8:50 pm, Trickham by 8:55 pm, and Brookesmith by 9:00 pm.
A severe thunderstorm watch has also been issued for Brown & San Saba counties until 1am.
