Thomas James Rogers passed into eternity on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at his home.
He is preceded in death by his father, James, H. Rogers. He is survived by one son, Richard James Rogers and wife, Stevie Q; his mother, Rosemary B. Sakowski; brothers and sisters, Debbie Cuellar, Linda Micaletti, Kent Montgomery, Dara Davis, Robin Montgomery and Bruce Montgomery.
Thomas was in the U. S. Navy and served his time in Viet Nam. He then came home to work for the U.S. Postal System in Barrington, Illinois. He also worked with Home Depot while in Wisconsin and Michigan. Upon moving to Texas, he became a maintenance man and a home remodeler. Tom loved to just relax at home and play with his three cats, which he raised with long-time companion, Marilyn Turner.
Per his wishes, Thomas was cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations. His family got together on Saturday to celebrate and remember his life.
