KingsmenTickets are still available for the 7th Annual “Singin’ With the Saints” concert at Howard Payne University on Thursday, May 13. Nationally renowned Southern Gospel artists The Kingsmen and The Melody Boys Quartet will be the featured performers at the concert, which begins at 2 p.m. in the newly renovated Mims Auditorium.  Ticket prices are $13.

The Kingsmen have been performing Southern Gospel music for more than 54 years. Inductees into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and The Christian Music Hall of Fame, they have received numerous Grammy nominations and four Dove Awards.  Quartet leader and bass singer Ray Reese has been singing for the Kingsmen for 45 years.

Celebrating 60 years of performing, The Melody Boys Quartet fills the majority of their programs with traditional quartet harmonies, using nothing but the piano for accompaniment. The quartet is led by Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee Gerald Williams. Williams has been singing bass for the quartet for more than 61 years.TheMelodyBoysQuartet

Roy Pauley, of The Singing News Magazine, has said of Williams, “He’s without question today’s most accomplished bass.”

Tickets can be purchased through Thursday afternoon at HPU’s Office of University Advancement, located at 803 Center Avenue, and will also be available at the door prior to the event.
