The Lyric Performing Arts Company presents the musical “Annie” as its annual community musical for 2010.
“Annie” is a musical based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip “Little Orphan Annie,” with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and the book by Thomas Meehan. The musical’s songs “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard-Knock Life” are its more popular pieces. The Lyric’s production of “Annie” is directed by Nancy Jo Humfeld.
Tickets cost $10 each and will be available at the door or in advance at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce office at 600 E. Depot or online at BrownwoodLyricTheatre.com. Group discounts are available for groups of 10 or more by calling 325-998-2801.
“Annie” will be performed at the Dorothy McIntosh Fine Arts Center at Brownwood High School.
