Thyrone “Ty” LaRoy Crow, 70, of Brownwood, passed away on October 27, 2012, one week before his 71st birthday. Ty was born on November 1, 1941, at home on Baker Street here in Brownwood, to R.B. Crow and Rene Dodson Crow. He married Juliana Childs in August of 1982. Ty and his wife lived in Brownwood and Ft. Worth before moving to Lawton Oklahoma to care for her parents. Ty lost his sight several years ago, but he never lost his vision. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1960, and received his B.S. from San Jose State College. He also became an ordained minister on June 6, 2012.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Juliana Crow of Brownwood; his son, Michael Givens of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Joanna Parks Anderson of Brownwood; and a stepson, John Childs, of Abilene; Grandchildren Andrew Parks, Jamie Parks, Connor Anderson, David Childs, Brandan Childs, and Calob Childs; and great-grandson, Sean Parks. He is also survived by his aunts, Lillian Crow Holder and Bonita Petty and his Uncle Roy Dodson; sister in law Jennifer Brown and husband Tom; and his brother in law, James Daubenspeck and wife, Patricia. Ty was also quick to tell people that he had 52 first cousins, many of which will miss him so very much.
Ty was preceded in death by his parents, R.B. Crow and Rene Crow Lentz; his sister, Patricia Sue Baird; father in law, Louis A. Daubenspeck; grandson, Trent Anderson, and cousins, Sherry, Weldon, and Nonnie Jo.
It broke our hearts to see him go, but we know that he now has his sight back, and is walking on two good legs!
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mr. Crow was cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations.
