Thurstene Venable Aldridge was born on October 15, 1942 in Brownwood, Texas to Roland Thurston Venable and Mary Eva Lynn Pettis Venable. She passed away Tuesday January 21, 2014 in Brownwood.
Her early years were spent in Brownwood where she graduated from Brownwood High in 1960. She married Bob Aldridge on August 20, 1960. One of her favorite jobs was serving as the Pastor’s secretary at Inglewood Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. Her greatest joy in life was being with her husband of 53 years and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Bob Aldridge and her sister Rolanda Venable Willey. Her son and daughter in law, Dr. Robert Thurston Aldridge and his wife Amy and her daughter and son in law Shannon Leigh Aldridge Snyder and Michael Snyder. Her granddaughters Ashleigh McCuller and her Husband Derrick McCuller, Kelsey Eastham, Mary Elise Eastham, Kaitlyn Aldridge, McKenzie Aldridge, Justin Snyder and Wesley Snyder.
She is preceded in death by her parents Roland Thurston Venable and Mary Eva Lynn Pettis Venable.

Visitation will be January 24th at 6 PM at Heartland Funeral Home at 303 Early Blvd.
Funeral services will be January 25 at 2 PM at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church – 1715 Coggin Ave.
