Funeral services for Thula N. “Nora” Williams, age 96, of Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, at Netherton Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Bangs Cemetery. Ms. Williams passed away July 20, at a local nursing home.
Nora was born February 19, 1914, in Coleman County, Texas, the daughter of the late R. W. and Edna (Jones) Phillips. She was an LVN for over 20 years, having worked at Ward Memorial Hospital and Ward County Health, as well as serving as a school nurse. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Joann Roach, Mary Beth McMillian, Barbara Allie, Wanda Williford, Dorothy Mobre, Horace E. Hounshell, Gary K. Hounshell and Larry G. Hounshell.Nora was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
