A three-vehicle accident at Austin Avenue and Main Street briefly rerouted west and eastbound traffic on Austin Avenue Friday afternoon.
Emergency responders were called to a three-vehicle accident at 3:45 PM with no major injuries. According to witnesses on scene, a Ford pickup was attempting to turn left onto Austin, when it collided with an oncoming Chevy Impala. The pickup then slid into the Dodge Durango which was stopped at the red light in the center westbound lane of Austin Avenue.
All three vehicles sustained front-end damage. Of the ten occupants of the vehicles, none were transported. Guardian EMS service did evaluate and attend to one of the occupants of the Impala.
Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police Department, Guardian EMS and Howard Payne Department of Public Safety responded to the accident.
