Three Brownwood Lions received honors in the first two teams of the Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State football teams.
Topping the list on first team were Brownwood receiver Jaxon Shipley and punter Derek Longoria. Senior defensive end Joseph Henry was picked for second-team.
Shipley had 934 receiving yards and nine touchdowns despite missing the first five games of the season with an injury. Longoria had a 43.1 yard punting average on the season.
