Three people were transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Booker Street Wednesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. when a GMC Yukon traveling northeast on Booker collided with a Nissan Maxima which was traveling south on Austin Avenue. Three of the occupants of the Maxima were transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room for evaluation and treatment of their injuries. One woman sustained a “pretty good laceration on her forehead,” according to emergency responders on scene. None of the patients sustained life threatening injuries according to responders.Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
