Thomas “Louis” Wills, age 83, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Brownwood Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center Ave., Brownwood. Graveside services will follow at Bangs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Davis-Morris. Thomas was born on September 15, 1929, in Drumright, Oklahoma to Thomas and Beatrice Kerchaval. He graduated from Kermit High School in Kermit, Texas before attending Bryan College in Bryan, Texas.  Thomas proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married Betty Jane Paulin on July 3, 1951, in Levelland, Texas and they came to Brownwood in 1985.

Thomas was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kermit and a Past Commander of the American Legion Post in Kermit. He worked as a Production Foreman for the Amond G. Carter foundation for 34 years. Thomas enjoyed fishing, playing dominos, and playing in his weekly card game with friends.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Jane Wills; children, James Lester Wills of Thrifty, Texas, Stacey Joe Wills, and wife, Angela of Brownwood, Stephen Ray Wills, and wife, Anne of Jacksonville, Florida, and Alice Wilkerson, and husband, Larry of Caldwell, Texas; brother, L.C. “Bud” Wills, and wife, Lorene of Merkel, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Wills, Jesse Wills, Cody Wills, Lori Wills, Kimberly Wills, Jonathan Wills, Tiffany Wills, Michael Wilkerson, Tommy Wilkerson , and Stephanie Escobedo; 11 great grandchildren, and 15 nieces and nephews.
