Thomas Dewayne Law was born on April 1, 1981 to Patricia Sue Shimek in Temple, Texas. Thomas enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved fishing, swimming, rodeoing and farm work. He overcame many challenges in his life but was loved by everyone who knew him. Thomas passed away on February 20, 2012.
He is survived by his mother; his sister, Angela Rodness of Killeen; his brother, Mark Shimek and wife, Stacy of Temple; his nieces, Aubreanna and Emily Rodness and his nephew, Xander Shimek; his aunt, Tressie LeBlanc of Temple; his cousins and their families, Richard Bowling of Rogers, Nick Bowling of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Chris LeBlanc of Temple, Sara LaBlanc of Temple, and Gary Hanne of Sugarland. The family would like to thank Robert and Rusty Smith and their family for their love and support during this difficult time.
Thomas was predeceased by his grandparents, Maynard and Rita Law; and his great aunt and uncle, Wilmer and Lucille Hanne.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Mullin, Texas with Pastor Richard Ivy officiating. Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
