Thomas Busbee, 97, of May, TX passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 just shy of his 98th birthday.
Services for Thomas will be Friday, October 4, 2019 at the May Baptist Church in May with Interment following in the May Cemetery.
A visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, TX.
Thomas opened his heart to the Lord & Savior Jesus Christ in 1940 and since then the Lord has opened doors for many blessings. The first was his wife of 72 years, Theda Latrice Christian. The real love of his life. Thomas & Theda started their life together in Bisbe, Arizona. They spent 2 years in the Navy, 8 years farming in Williams, TX then moved to Big Lake, TX for 25 years. They retired in January 1983 from Energy Reserve to May. They loved coming home to May and raising a garden. He took pride in sharing the fruits of their garden with neighbors by leaving bags of vegetables in church members cars during garden season.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Theda Latrice Busbee; daughter Dorothy Sue Patterson.
Thomas is survived by his brother James (Bob) Busbee of Rising Star, TX; son, Tommy Busbee of May; daughter, Rita Isgar of Katy, TX and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren he loved dearly.
